Hello from West Texas
« on: November 01, 2022, 11:13:05 AM »
Thank you for allowing me to join the group.
I had never heard of Simplex until I saw this sitting a yard and stopped and became the new owner.
I know the pictures are not very good quality.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That’s a very late 1957 or very early 1958 Model M.  Did you get any other parts with it?

Btw, welcome aboard!

Unfortunately, no this is all.
I wasn't even sure if it was worth trying to find parts for it, but a gentleman that rebuilds old tractors told me once.
"If there is enough of it to make a shadow it can be rebuilt"
Thank you for the info BTW

If that’s all you have it will probably be cost prohibitive to restore it.  I’d probably build it out with a HF predator motor and some Worksman wheels.

Thank you all for the welcome. Ricks I appreciate the advice, I wasn't sure if the frame was of any real value. I was thinking about trying to build it with an engine that I have.

Frames are cheap, and easy to find.  A gas tank is much harder to find, and more expensive.  Like I said, build it with an non original engine and ride it!

That's what I would do .
You might consider making a custom fuel tank , like Tom did .
