Hi Relic,
Considering the outstanding job you did on the last bike and the relatively short time it took.
I bet this one will be on the road sooner than anyone thinks.
You just don't strike me as a man to let something go to seed.
Good lick on your new project.
Cheers

Oil-Lamp,
I think that by "Hoarders' they mean "that guy that has all the things they want".
Come by when you get a chance. Might call first because I'm in and out a lot but would really like to get together.
Maybe we can go Simplexing.
Cheers

Hi Huston,
Glad your enjoying the bike. I got the 56 back from my brother ( it was not touched) and had the seat recovered.
I have put the chopper in the shop for new tires and some mechanical repairs so the Simplex is a little on the back burner.
Not going to give up on the 56 though. My wife has taken it as her own so it is safe.
Stay in touch and post pictures of the bike as it transforms.
Cheers

I'll need to see how everything stacks up but it sounds like a great time. I'll be going to Sturgis next year for the 75th anniversary in August then Daytona in March. It puts things a little close but again sounds like a must do to me. I think my son would get a kick out of it too. I'll keep you posted.

Reese,
Sorry I missed you. I have been doing a lot of running lately working on other projects. Give me a shout and maybe we can get together. After reading the other posts I'm kicking myself over not making the meet. Glad everyone had a good time and are home safe.

Just sold my 47 to a fellow. I think it will have a good home with him.
I have a 56 that runs like a top now. My wife has taken it though; I just hope she lets me ride it sometimes.
Enjoy my friend

Looks like the bike has a good home. Once the rain stops the fun will begin.
Looks like you already have a willing passenger to ride with you.
Its funny my granddaughter gets more excited over the bikes than my grandson.
She is 11 and doesn't talk about cars; only when she gets her first motorbike.
Try and get a picture of that first ride for us.
Have fun and enjoy the bike my friend

Hi RickS,
Here are a few pics of some of the bikes I played with.
I also included a pic of our camp trailer.
After breaking the tongue off once on the east coast and then once on the west cost I purchased a car hauler
and grafted the trailer to it. Did all the welding, fiberglass work and painting myself.
Oh and if the pics are to large try opening them using the title below the thumb nail.
Cheers to you.

Hi RickS,
Yea that's mine. Don't care for the shifter that much and have the 56 automatic running like a Swiss clock now.
At this point I have 6 bikes in my shop and I'm looking at another to use as a bar hopper. "Although I don't go to bars"
I'm not really that much of an engine guy but I love customizing them and such.
I try to buy things that are running so I can spend time on paint and custom work.
My son has a grown pounding bar bike and I thought I'd try and build one similar to his.
If you like I'll send you a couple of pic's of my work.
Cheers my friend

Welcome KennyB,
Glad to have you on board.
You will not find a better bunch than these guys.
They are full of info, advice, parts, decal, contacts, you name it they can help.
I joined a few months ago and they have all been more than ready to help in any way they can.
Luck to you on the build and keep us posted with the progress.
Oh and don't forget the pictures.

Hi Relic,
Man that is nice.
Showed it to my wife and she said that is the seat she wants.
Guess I'll be sending hers off shortly.
Your bags are over the top too.
You keep making a great bike better.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I was going to show off the 56 this weekend to my wife's sister that was in from Florida.
After kick number 20 I gave up and moved to the 47; bingo it started and did it's job.
Decided to dig into the 56 today and found that the new gas had loosened the remaining gunk in the tank.
I'm cleaning the tank and carb. again. Still trying NOT to do a boil on the tank.
Having a blast playing with the new toys.
Cheers

Hey Mike,
I see you like the WW-2 reenactment stuff.
A few years ago I got to go to the Tora Tora Air Show pilots party in Houston.
These guys may have a few years on them but man do they know how to party.
We're talking everything from fly bys  to firing cannons.
I think I know why they are known as the "Greatest Generation"
They compromise nothing even their fun.
Cheers
