Restoration Projects / Original vs Rod
« on: November 23, 2013, 11:03:18 AM »
From the old school, nothing like looking at an original restoration job. Takes your mind back to the days when the Car, Truck, or Cycle was out there to drive or ride as original look and operation. Today, as parts are getting harder to find and other things get the restoration going toward as called in cars, street rod status.
Every one has their own mind set on what they want in owning a classic. In the car and truck industry, two big sets of organizations going. The pure restoration and the more usable restoration of using modern parts to put the vehicle on the road more like todays cars and trucks.
For me, I prefer to have something that I value as original status even if I do not put it on the road daily to drive or ride.
It is just what you want in your cycle or car, leave it as original as possible and thus have
not destroyed the original body or frame or cut and add to satisfy your ownership of the cycle or car.
Its your own cycle, car or truck so have it as you want it and remember, you bought it, not anyone who complains about the restoration.

Engine & Transmission / Crank bearing inside the Mag plate M engine
« on: August 11, 2013, 04:13:34 PM »
Do you have the thickness size of the bearing that sets in the Mag plate on the M engine. Bearing is on the crank and just back of the point breaker cam. This bearing is thicker than the bearing for the H engine. Or better than that, the bearing number.
Thanks for your time.

Engine & Transmission / Engine change M to H
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:59:36 PM »
I have a few questions on engines. Could you tell me what year is a M20655 engine.
Would the M engine work well in an H Servi 40's model.
If using the M engine, what happens to the compression release system with no
place to hook up the twist cable on the M engine.

Any Help appreciated.

What year did the fender change from the one screw in the center of the brace to
the two screws on the sides of the fenders.
Thanks for the information.
