Carburator Mud Flap
« on: February 11, 2012, 10:34:14 AM »
That Parts manual that just got posted is really cool, and helpful.  I see that I'm missing 2 brackets, one to support the aircleaner and the other is called a mud flap (#897, shown on page 6).  Does any body have one of these they could share a picture of?  The illustration isn't too clear.  I'm sure it won't be much trouble to fab one.

Mike, I think I may have on of those in a box of parts I have.  It will be a few days before I can look and get a picture.

That manual shows a support bracket that goes between the aircleaner & the O.D. of the Magneto plate, but the Phelon mag doesn't have any screws around the O.D.  I wonder if they eliminated the bracket, or used a different style.

No hurry on the mud flap.  I didn't get to work on the bike today & I'll be out of town the next couple days.....then I've got a ww2 reenactment on the weekend, so it'll be next week before I get to play with it again.

The phelon used a different brace, more of a bolt arrangement if I remember correctly.
