Well I got my parts in from Wayne. (mag cover, air cleaner assy, rings and gaskets.
Polishing the cover and air cleaner now, but my regular job keeps getting in the way.

What is your clearance now that you have painted the intake port? I don't remember what the spec should be, but I would guess about .005.

The shaft is .981 and the port is .990 with paint so that would be .0045 on each side.

It's an industrial paint like on electrical windings and its baked on.
I just cleaned up the flywheel port and radiused it a little.

Yes I painted the transfer port and the intake track. I think it will not only seal
the case but maybe flow a little better. I also radiused the flywheel where the
port comes through. IDK, will see?

I have got my case about ready, just waiting on my bearings that I ordered today. I think I will
start another post about the rebuild next week. I've done a few different things that may be

That was my first thought, but if the engine is flooded most all the fuel will be in the bottom end and it doesn't seem that the drain hole would do any good.

Yes there was a strip of felt, about an inch long at the top of the hole. I just can't figure out
what in the world it could be for.
I heated the case on a hotplate to about 250 degrees, an then sprayed locktite freeze on the
bearing, nothing. Even with the puller it was tight.

I need a little help on the best way to get the main bearing out of the case.
I have heated the case and sprayed loctite freeze on the bearing with no luck.
