Title: Frame Value
Post by: .38 Spcl on August 28, 2014, 03:47:15 PM
I know of a rolling frame serial # 10951 (frame, forks, tank, seat pan, rims, handle bars) can anyone tell me the year and a fair value for this? It is out in Arizona. Thank You!

I would say somewhere around 1956...$500.00 for a value.

Post the pictures.  If the wheels and gas tank are good, $500 would be a good deal.  Does the wheel have the drive sheave on it?  Also, if the front wheel has a brake, that would be a big bonus.

Does the frame have a brake light switch (would be located on top of the rear lower bar, just behind where the motor would attach)?  The frame number puts it into that fuzzy range where it could have been a late '55 or early '56.  The '56 model is generally considered when the first brake light switches were installed.

I picked up basket case bike number two on Monday. It is frame number 09671 and the motor number is M17723B. It is missing a lot of   the drive line parts so hope Wayne has what I need. A hot rod buddy of mine wants the other frame and tank to build a custom speedway type bike so two more will be saved. I'm sure I'll be on regular with lots of questions!
