Title: 1939-40 Servi Cycle brake and throttle lever
Post by: lamptester55 on December 02, 2014, 09:51:03 AM
I need a photograph of a 1939-40 brake lever and throttle lever.
Or original supplier name.
I have one brake lever, but have never found a close match. So I am not sure what was on the bike. The lever that I have seems a bit beefier than bicycle levers.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Not much help here, but Wayne has told me he has not found a supplier for a more correct brake lever.  I was looking for something "beefier" also, with no luck.

You might try sending an email to Bill at   http://www.servicycle.com/bikes.html

He restored a 1937 direct drive recently, maybe he found something better.

The old Honda cubs (C100, C50/55, C102, etc...) have heavier levers.  Nor sure if the barrel ends are same tho

Thanks! The idea is good. I will look at other type of scooter brake lever assemblies.
