Hey guys, I've been debating on what style of seat to run on this machine.
I got bored the other night, pulled out the torches and starting hammering.
It's still not perfect... but nothing I do usually is... :-\
I bought enough supplies to make two seats (sheet metal, foam and leather)
This is what I've ended up with so far. I will cut some foam and leather it up sometime next week. I'll post more once I'm further along.
Any comments or opinions are much appreciated.
Cheers

Interesting design . Looks like it'll hang farther back than stock . You most likely will have to use a stronger spring .
Pete . :)

I agree with Pete. I think the seat is going to hit the fender. Looks like it will be comfy when you get it all padded and leathered up.

I think you're right about hitting the fender. I'll play around with the position of it.
Don't worry, it's only scotch taped on right now (couldn't find the duct tape ;))
I haven't decided how I want to make the mounts yet, I would prefer to keep as many original parts as possible. So I want to figure a way to do it with the original spring.

looks different but it looks kinda easy on the backside. if you need a heavier seat spring Wayne has some in stock. 8)

Does Wayne have a catalog? Or do you just call him and ask for what you need.
I only ask because the American to Canadian dollar could bankrupt me on this thing :D

He has a price list. Call him and he will send you one. He always includes a price list with every order.

So here's what I've ended up with so far. I will have to order the stiffer sprin from Wayne, as the seat hits the fender when maxed out.
Let me know what you think of the style.

I spoke with Wayne yesterday and ordered up front and rear spoke sets and a stiffer seat spring. What a great guy! An absolute pleasure to deal with! Too bad there aren't more out there like him.

I got busy with the leather finally (leatherette actually)
After wrestling with the heat gun and gluing most of my fingers to pretty much everything in the shop, I've ended up with something I'm pretty happy with.
Still debating weather I should cut out the little vagina looking bit at the back, or just leave it as is.
I also wrapped the grips I made from an old bicycle frame in the same material.
Let me know what you think!
Cheers
