flip flop hubs
« on: September 28, 2014, 07:26:06 AM »
I'm considering doing a front disk brake set-up on my servi and came across a product line called Flip Flop hubs.  Essentially a hub set-up with threads on both sides to allow free wheeling, gears, and/or disk brake conversions for either front or rear applications.  They  also make a springer mount kit that would adapt well to our bike (I believe?).  Anyone use/experience with these?

I met up with quite a challenge when I did my servi.  Seems like everything I met up with was undernourished because they were more intended for bicycles. If you settle into a hub try to get specs of the size of the hub bolts. Seems like a lot of them were 3/8 or even 9mm(.354) and I did not want to down size in strength.
