1944 Servi-cycle on Ebay
« on: July 21, 2012, 08:09:52 PM »
Check this out.  Doesn't look "museum" quality to me, but it does look nice.  For $7000, I would think it would be perfect.  Tires look like bicycle tires.

Here is the 2nd 1944 on Ebay.  It looks much nicer, IMO, but is not original.  It has late wheels on it, late fender struts, rear tail light is incorrect for year also.  The handle bars are also wrong.  It should have a gooseneck, not the flat plate.  So many things incorrect, it makes you wonder what year the frame really is.

That said, it looks like a nice rider.

This bike looks to be a Model L (early) the same as mine.  Same wheels, rocker clutch with ratchet, same taillight, same handlebars, but with a cast iron cylinder and no kickstarter?  I wish that he had listed the motor number.  Very nice condition, but not museum.

I love how guys throw out that term "museum quality".  I can't even tell if it has a muffler, and in certainly doesn't have a flywheel cover!  It has rubber fuel hose.  I'd bet it doesn't even run!

It's hard to be sure, but it looks like an early engine.
