My Simplex has the seat spring mount in FRONT of the frame cross bar. Most that I'v seen has it behind closer to the rear fender. Any ideas of year? Thanks

I assume your talking about where the spring attaches to the frame. The 48's also have the spring further forward that the later models. Does your front seat mount have a "hinge", or is it all one piece that goes all the way to the steering head?

It's one piece all the way up to steering and has the handlebars without the steel plate extension.?
