here are some pics of my simplex senior sportsman i purchased off craigslist, it was located in talcum kentucky, i had it shipped to newhall,ca. and now plan on doing some restoration to the bike. i have a continental au10 going into it, it looks to have had some engine brackets welded in to support the briggs five horse, i also plan on reinstalling the torque convertor and finding front brake parts and hooking up the lights.

i also bought another roller located in layfayette la. which i be having shipped soon.
anyone who may have a continental engine they might sell, please pm me. thanks. james

Nice looking Senior.  The frame number is stamped on l;eft side of the plate connecting the fork and frame, near the top.  Original engines in the 6 HP Senior C were Continental Model 1120, Spec No B400717.  Wayne Mahaffey sells a repro kick starter for this engine.  Original engines in 4HP Compacts were Continental Model AU10, Spec No B400554.  They are basically the same engine. 1966 and later Seniors used Tecumseh Model H60 engines.  Good luck.
