Newbie here from Texas
« on: October 25, 2013, 05:23:46 PM »
Just want to say howdy from Texas ...my name is Arnold and just bought
a cool Simplex on eBay. I kind of mess around with vintage scooters of
different types. Basically just like all vintage machines.
So just bought a Original Simplex Automatic on eBay last week not
sure of year yet but maybe a 1956 from what I can tell from this forum
Here are the numbers on left side of motor M21558B
Numbers on the frame are 13131.
Simplex is all original and I did get it running day after I got it.
It does not have original carb, or throttle handle, I or rear tail light.
So will be looking for these piece any help would be great.

Welcome to the group.  Send me a PM with your real name & I'll get you logged into the registry.

Is your brake light switch located behind the motor on the top side of the lower rear frame rail?
thanks,
Mike Sal

Hi Zepol52,
I just got my first Simplex too. It is in Florida at the moment but hope to have it here in Texas in a week or two.
So what part of Texas are you in. I live in Burton Tx. It is between Houston and Austin.
Think it would be very cool and maybe helpful if there was a few of us close together.
Good luck on the restoration can't wait to get started on mine.
Cheers
Stafford
