I just purchased this bike over the weekend. Guy I bought it from said its a 1949-1955, but he had no clue. The Frame number is 13237 and the engine number is M21918B. It runs great. Entered it in the AMA show and won first place in my category.

Looks like a '56 to me. Does it have a brake light switch bracket just behind the motor (on the right lower bar)? The leather seat may not be original, or might have been a change over, as Simplex did a lot of that. If there is no brake light bracket, it's probably a very late '55 model.
