Nice pictures Stafford!

Pete, no excuse not to be at Portland this summer.  I just checked and it is only 240 miles.

I'll have to give that serious consideration , Rick . I really would like to 'do' Portland .

We'll be sharing host duties with another couple , so the possibility is there .

What are the dates for the meet ? Last week / end of July ?

Pete . :)

Nice pictures Staffor,  just pulled my engine for a overhaul and sending Wayne the pistons and cylinders to get them honed and ringed. Then I hope to get them together beforethe Portland deadline. So how does the pulley for the belt come off?  ???

"So how does the pulley for the belt come off?"

Reese , If you mean the drive pulley on the motor , you have to pull the plates on the left side and block the crank . The pulley has LEFT hand threads .

Look by the hub of the pulley :

I think I've ran out of gas on everything with 2 wheels I've every owned......but on the Simplex so far it was only because I didn't turn the gas valve back on after some carb adjustments.....

What you all recommend for oil mix with the gas. Old style small engine oil or the new syn type.

I'll find out now that I've blown it but, I'm running the two cycle oil that my weed eater calls for.
It is a Troy Built and uses a small bottle ( I think 4oz.)to a gallon. Bike runs and starts fine with not too much smoke.
I'd like to hear from some of the others on this too.
Cheers
