Hello Members,

I live in Belgium and I am running a WWII museum in The Belgian Ardennes and in Normandy. I am interested in Simplex since it was used by US Airborne troops during WWII and I am looking for a Military-spec "G" models, designated G-A-1 to complete a display at the museum. I am also looking for a pair of saddle bags but I have no idea if these were specific to the military spec cycle and a Technical Manual for the same original or reprint.

Hi Michel,

I have been searching for information on the Airborne Simplex model G-A-1 for a number of years now, specifically what airborne companies or platoons they were issued to. I haven't been able to find much so far. I would appreciate any info that you could share.

I like your profile picture, There are just a couple of pictures of Simplex’s in use during the war and I haven’t seen that one before. Any possibility you could post a larger picture?

Thanks, Mike.
