Frame, Tank, Seat, Controls, Etc / Re: Tanks for the memories!

Did you buy all that stuff in the photos?
No, Rick, I didn't. Shame on me. I told my wife I didn't spend $1,000, but I did spend $970.  Some of the stuff went for a good price but other things didn't.  Someone bought a lot of the frames for about $600 a frame which I thought was a bit high.  But I came away with some good deals.

I picked up most of mine at an auction this summer in Youngstown.

A couple more to check out. There may be one or two that are different.
The light looks great. Nice job.

I'm really disappointed that I didn't recognize you. Right across from you was Bill with the stainless spokes.  Wayne Mahaffey gets some of his spokes from Bill. Most of the guys around here are Whizzer people. They say that the 2-cycles have to park in the grass while they park in the parking lot. :)  We went on a 25 mile ride today and I was the only Simplex.

I was riding the 55 Simplex on Friday when we went to get ice cream.  Were you on that ride? What were you riding?

Thanks for the pictures, Tom.  I live 2 miles from where the Swap Meet was - I actually work for Hartville Enterprises who owns the complex there.  I went on the ride for ice cream on Friday, in the morning they took a ride to the blimp hanger - didn't make that one. I wish I would have known you were going to be there...I would have caught up with you.  Let me know if you come next year.
By the way, Jim's bike broke down on the way to get ice cream.
Hopefully I'll see you in Portland next year!

Wow Rick, that looks great. Nice job.
Maybe I just missed it but I didn't see the wheelie bars?

Thanks for all of the pictures - I appreciate you sharing them. It's always good to know what happened at Portland.  I couldn't make it this year, but hoping it works out for next year.   Thanks again.

Nice job, Rick!  It looks real good.  Did you chrome the clutch or is it just polished?
Also, do you just run a short pipe from the bottom of your muffler, and if so, what is the sound difference?
That's a nice bike to add to your collection.

Nice job, Rick!  Can you tell me if you free-handed, and if so, what type of brush did you use? I've done mine with tape that you pull the center out of, but its    not a real good look.  Thanks, Dwayne

Thanks everyone. Tom if it works for yours it should work for mine. Is everyone using the felt oiler? I'm not sure if there is a holder for mine.

Yep Rick, I saw that right after I sent it. I never did very well in school. Pete thanks, I think I may be able to cross some of those numbers.

Hi everyone,
I am working to rebuild an H motor for my '48 rat bike.  I would like to install new points and condensor.  Does anyone have the replacement points and condensor numbers for the H motor.  I know I can get them from Wayne but was hoping I could get them locally.  Thanks for your help.
