   Mike hi once you get the carb off. what I did was cut a U on the right side hole  so you don't have to take the nut  all the way off the next time.  Hank

1957 Ford  I'm from Glen Allen Va. about 8 miles from Richmond closer to Ashland which is as I've been told is the center of the universe . have a 56  auto runs good & looks good can't say as much for me, 76 and  had 5 way by pass 3 years ago  ok now still ride my bike.  Hank Waalewyn my name . Had a ? simplex   back in early 50's :)

Sonriser this is 57 Ford have the whole assembly . When I was putting it to  together talked to Wayne about the drum  being a little pitted. He said  had turned them before,but thought it was alright. I think I sent you my phone # yesterday.       call me if you have any interest   better price than e bay       57 Ford

Rick thanks for the offer but I have both  hubs. Doesn't look like a bike rim, it is 2 3/8 wide  Dim is 23  3/8 hub is 2 3/8 od  and bearing cup is missing but looks to be same size as a newer one. I'll post some pictures after I learn more ,sorry  !!                                        thanks  Hank

 I have a wheel seems to be  simplex . It has a smaller hub on the outer dim. Rim has some rust but seems to be ok  did simplex have a smaller hub in the  early days?  any help on this would be appreciated . Hank   57 ford

Hello my name is Hank (57 Ford) . Have been around about a month. I have a  a 1956  automatic I live in Glen Allen, Va. five miles north of Richmond. Enjoy this forum  !! first for me .Got my first simplex I think ,in 1952 paid $25 dollars for it. I don't think I got a bill of sale or title for it  I grew up in Staunton, Va. Lot of hills was easy to start as long as you were not at the bottom.                       Got my 56 about 2008 Restored it .Got a lot help from Wayne still ride it !! I'm 75 now don' have a lot of  computer skills will post some pictures  Thanks Hank Waalewyn   that is pronounce Wall -win
