Hi everyone,
I am working to rebuild an H motor for my '48 rat bike. I would like to install new points and condensor. Does anyone have the replacement points and condensor numbers for the H motor. I know I can get them from Wayne but was hoping I could get them locally. Thanks for your help.

I'm not sure it will be beneficial , but , you might try taking your current set to a marine shop that works on old baot motors . I know for a fact that the Phelon system was used in more than one boat motor of that day . So , maybe the Wyco system was too .
This might help :

It's Wico, not Wyco! LOL

Yep Rick, I saw that right after I sent it. I never did very well in school. Pete thanks, I think I may be able to cross some of those numbers.

Check out this auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NOS-Wico-X5112-Contact-Set-Points-Gas-Engine-Magneto-/111928011612?hash=item1a0f6deb5c:g:NZ4AAOSwu1VW3K91
To me, this looks just like it would work. In the chart posted in the link, it lists the x5112 for many applications, including an earlier Simplex.

A little more investigating, and I think these would also work, but you would have to trim off one section of the breaker plate. Unfortunately, it shows out of stock at this time.

As a note, the Simplex condenser part number is the same as a cushion early 6 volt. Part number Wico x5800

Well heck . It SOUNDS like it should be spelled with a Y . ;)
Rick ,
Does "cushion early 6 volt " = Cushman early 6 volt ?
I'm thinking maybe your auto correct ...
Pete . :)

You are 100% correct! LOL
What do you think Pete, does it look like it is the same to you also?

The X5112 looks like it's the same as what Tom has mounted on his plate .
But , the X5861 and X5800 have the 'double tang' on the cam side and looks like that would interfere with adjustment , at least .
Pete . :)

The x5800 is the condenser.
The x5861 points that Tom has doesn't seem to have that extra tang that Carpenter Cushman shows in their picture.
I would venture a guess that many of these Wico points are very similar, if not identical, with its own part number, as requested by the that contracted Wico for their magneto.

Has anyone tried one of the Nova II replacement for the points/condenser?

Thanks everyone. Tom if it works for yours it should work for mine. Is everyone using the felt oiler? I'm not sure if there is a holder for mine.
-
I have never taken one apart that had the holder for a felt oiler. I would guess that the model Simplex specified didn't have it.

Hello, do you know what the part number is for the fly wheel for that mag. Because I need two of them.

Wico FW-1278D. That is the larger Wico used from 1941-1956.
