I did put new bearings in 20 yrs ago. Then quit work on it everything rolled freely so I didnt see a need to go back and re check that work, but what happened is after I installed that belt every time I turned if over the pulley tightened more, the bearing is not seated lacks about 3/16 so crank seal spacer is sunk in to far I am back at ground zero.had good compression and flywheel is fixed too .  Very frustrating but shouldn't be to bad to fix.        I hope

Mike, haven't taken mine apart yet but plan on working on simplex this weekend if you still need the drawing I can pop that apart and get you one.

Mike, I was just on the sec. Of state site and ran the frame no. Says last title issuance1984. And title is recorded as junked wonder what this could mean for me.

What sparkplugs do I need , and what is the correct fuel mixture tag on machine by choke says to just pore oil in to one side of gas tank without premixing tis seems unusual I also seem to recall reading somewhere about using 40w motor oil.

I thought I would post a pic here of the back side of the compression plate I've never seen one before until today and its been a bit of a mystery to me as to what it was, so if any other guys out there have ever wondered mystery solved.

Got parts today back from Wayne,cylinder and rod drop in easily with tank off , big thing left now motor wise is fixing that flywheel ,I need a tank of oxygen maybe this weekend I can button up this motor. Next front forks.

About the red bike being original paint, l don't think l have seen any pics of original bikes with a black frame yet fender braces are painted same as tins. Seems odd
