Other Things Simplex / Re: I have the Best Wife in the World
« on: May 30, 2014, 05:32:27 AM »
Hi Mike,
Glad to hear you bounced back and on you feet and running.
No need to get down over spoiled grapes or broken BMWs.
I think yow just might be the living proof of the old saying,
                   HAPPY WIFE - HAPPY LIFE
There was a guy in Houston that ran around in a Kubelwagon years ago.
Everywhere he went it always drew a crowd.
I'll bet you will have as much fun with it as you do with all your toys.
Make sure you take Ms. Sonya to dinner and buy her flowers.
Cheers

Mike Sal,
So sorry to hear about your loss.
At least no one was hurt or someone else's property was damaged.
I guess it is all a matter of time that we have something go awry on us.
I'm a fanatic about making sure everything is done right when using a trailer.
That said last year I used my brothers truck and trailer to pick up a downed bike.
Sent the tongue of the trailer into the tailgate and dropped the bike in the process.
Now I'm double cautious about connections.
Again sorry.

Hi Johnny and welcome.
I could not help but notice the similarities between your bike and my wife's bike.
Here is a picture of hers.

So ppmurf,
Any word on the Simplex yet, or do you have an arrival date?
Had a Messerschmitt shipped from the UK once.
I didn't sleep for a month.
Let us know when it arrives and get someone to take a couple of pictures of the baby's arrival.
Cheers

Very nice bike. Can you tell if that is the original color or if not can you see any of it's original color showing.
The inventory stamp makes me think military also. It would be fun to try and find out some of it's history such as where used and what branch of service. I'm with RickS "more pictures please" and if possible confirmation on original color.
Again nice bike.

Relic,
The only thing I have found close to a cure is the acquisition of other Simplex.
So..............Take 2 Simplex and go to work on them.

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the site, and you are right; these guys are full of knowledge and know how.
Be careful though; Simplex fever can set in at any time.
Just 6 months ago I had ZERO Simplex and now I own Two.
They seem to be migrating to this area.
Member "Oil Lamp" lives a stones throw from me and has a total of four.
Hope to hear you're riding one of you own soon.

Other Things Simplex / Moto Museum
« on: May 05, 2014, 01:04:40 PM »
Hi Guys,
Found myself in St. Louis Mo. this weekend and had a little time to take a tour of the Moto museum.
They house around 100 bikes of various makes and ages.
I was shocked to see they had no Simplex of any kind on display.
I ask the curator about it and she had no clue as to what a Simplex was.
She did say she would check with the museums owner to see why they were not represented.
I'm including a couple shots of some of the more interesting bikes there.
Just cant believe that with a Ducati, Harley, and a hand made wooden motorcycle that Simplex didn't make the cut.
Well here you go, enjoy the picks.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
Just want to throw out a big THANK YOU to Sonrisers.
James your wife did an outstanding job on the SV art work.
The quality of your products are great as well.
If any of you guys are looking for nice decals for your trailers or vehicles I highly recommend Sonrisers.
Here is a shot or two of my truck with it's new Simplex sticker.

Hi ppmurf,
Congratulations on your Simplex.
Hope it will run there being bottom side up and all.
Just kidding; I have always wanted to visit Australia.
Such a beautiful place.
When you post the pictures of your Simplex include a few shots of home too.

Doodle Bugger,
You are right in all aspects.
I once belonged to an international organization that went south because of the older members refusal to move forward.
I'll not mention it's name for respect of my elders that might see this but it is a shame on them to let something die.
I have been a business owner for most of my life. My philosophy in business is that "If it is not growing it is dying"
The same is true in many things such as clubs, churches, schools etc.
It is a sad fact that some people never see this and let some things go by the wayside due to their ignorance or like of foresight. We do what we can but some times we need to stand down and let nature take it's course.
Enough Said
Cheers
