Title: Mini servi-v-twin?
Post by: Gary S on June 19, 2015, 07:29:54 AM: I'm more of a purest... but looking at what you guys do to these bikes has got me thinking... what if you built a v-twin?
I found a sweet engine that may fit the bill, a 250cc / 16.5 HP LIFAN?

you think maybe the 5 speed tranny might be a little over-kill?

Post by: Ricks on June 19, 2015, 08:28:16 AM: Yes. The Vangaurd cushmans ride all day at highway speeds without issue. To do this kind of speed on a simplex, you would have to change tires, wheels and especially the brakes to modern motorcycle.
