Great imagination by repurposing of that bell.  That looks FANTASTIC!!

 I guess it comes down to how much weight is forward, with rider on, over that front wheel.  It would seem to be a bit "stiff" but, it surely won't want to "hop" at higher speeds like a light weight, springy front end that would need a rebound shock.  Has a great look to it either way!

So, did you start with just a standard frame from a bike, and then cut and fab the rest of the whole rear end, etc. by copying an existing truck you have Rick S.?

Since I had the headlight apart, I decided to "tap-out" a couple small dents and a few deep scuffs on the trim ring and clean it up.  I know some of you "purists" prefer the rust, patina, and keeping the look of a 75yr old bike in all it's surviving glory but, since mine ISN'T, I polished it.  What a difference.  It shines like chrome now.  For others who would like to do the same, I rigged up some 1500 grit wet/dry sandpaper to my buffer wheel and then finished it off with a wool buffer using Simichrome polish.  By screwing the ring back together using the screw, it made the ring much more rigid and easier to handle, thus preventing it from getting bent or caught on the buffer wheel.  Check it out.

Since the forums so dead, thought I'd post something.  LOL ends up there's not any paint bubbling.  I changed lighting in my living room and thus, ended up, I'm just seeing a shadow from a very slight "run" on the top of the filler tube I'd never noticed before.  With some new halogen "spot lights" I recently installed shining down from directly overhead, it now shows up.  Ha Ha.  Check the difference between light moved just slightly to the side vs directly overhead. I made an assortment of stainless steel trim rings just incase I needed to cover a poor re-spray for nothing I guess.

I've been looking on the "net" for a product I had used years ago for sealing up the edges of where the paint ends on a motorcycle gas tank and petcock bunghole to stops the fumes and/or fuel from lifting the clearcoat and paint from the exposed steel edge.  It came in a little plastic tube and was applied around the edge using a small paint brush or Q-tip.  Anyone have any idea what it was called, or where to find it?

At first I had the bags hanging over the fender but didn't like the look of them there.  That's why I mounted them on to the frame.  Like you said, I'll do some drawing/simulating and "think about it".
