Title: Front fender chrome piece?
Post by: Pete57 on December 11, 2012, 06:08:59 PM: I have seen some pictures of bikes with a chrome piece attached to the top of the front fender and am curious as to what it is. I haven’t been able to make out what it is in any of the pictures I have seen. Kind of looks like another light but I am not sure. Does anyone have any photos to share of what this might be? Is it an aftermarket peice or original? Thanks, Pete

Post by: Mike Sal on December 11, 2012, 07:29:10 PM: The light on the bike in the pic is an aftermarket part I'm sure. Some bikes have a fender tip which has the Simplex logo on it. Gary Wollard had a mold made to build fender tips, but it's future fate is unknown (I assume it will someday wind up on ebay?).
