Note that he has the original paperwork showing frame no 17-654 and engine no M-23961-B purchased on 12-2-1959. Says he bought at an estate sale and only has a copy of the title. Price was $269 less a trade-in of $250 for a net cost of $19 plus tax!!

Would love to put this one in the stable! this is the style I raced Jim Lokai on (both bikes matched) down at the Plain City Ohio show. He got me out of the hole but I kept my head down and was gaining on him! Was a blast that year. Jim was great and let me ride his '37 direct. What a treat and easier to ride then I anticipated.

I like those scooters also. I almost traded my Sportsman for one of Jim's at Portland a couple of years ago, but decided against it. I would like to find one without a motor, and do a conversion to a modern, electric start.

All that skirting could hide a lot of modern 'conveniences' , Rick . ;)
I kinda like the scooters , too . Not sure , but they seem a bit longer than the bikes .
Pete . :)
