with such a small stroke, as evident by the head size, what displacement and H.P. does a little engine like that put out?

I think they were 3hp, not sure of displacement

According to the PDF below , the E65 Panther was rated at 4.5 H.P. @ 3800 RPMs . That was for a 1960 model .
