Title: Building a Frame
Post by: Elmo on August 19, 2011, 06:23:16 PM
Is there any place that I can find drawings or measurements for a Simplex frame.
I would like to build one. I have built several bicycle frames from scratch so I
should be able to handle the Simplex.

Rick will have the frame measurements, if anyone does. He also gave the size of the tubing and where it can be purchased in his posts. It is not a standard size tubing. Goodluck in your build.

I don't have any drawings with measurements, and while I think one could build one if so desired, it may be much cheaper and easier to buy one.  With the price of tubing these days, I think you will spend more than just buying.  Frames are the easiest part of a simplex to find, they can be had for a couple hundred dollars.  Now other parts, such as motors and gas tanks are much harder to locate in good condition!  Good luck and keep us posted!  Rick
