I'm in a world of hurt here guys.....been fighting a bad back for a few weeks. Tried loading up the Express & the Motobecane tonight & must have really blown something out. Getting ready to head to the e-room in a little bit.....if I can't get something fixed I may not be able to make the Portland trip......we'll see.....
We're supposed to leave today for Topeka Kansas for the lamp convention too.....we'll see what happens....

Mike I'm not going to sugar coat this so you don't miss understand me. G E T W E L L Now. Because I would like to meet you in Portland. Also I've check that website you told me about lots of cool links to everywhere and I still cannot find the part I need. I've got a picture to show if you make it to Topeka. I know that things snow balling this close to Portland. One of the three people that does the treating god didn't take his vacation last week like he should of done. No he waits for this week to go and I'm on 12hrs says till Friday at 12 noon then we will need to drive all night to be there Saturday morning. I'm bringing two bikes and Catherine runs well right now. So get well soon. :'(

Hello all from Topeka. After a trip to the E-room & a shot in both butt cheeks & one in the thigh, I felt a lot better. The pills I got are also helping a lot. They also think it's a muscle issue & not a disc issue (I hope their right). So as long as I'm careful & don't run out of pills, I should be able to make it. Been looking at a lot of pretty lamps & wishing we had more money as the really nices ones have really hi prices.....The art decco type nude figurines that I like are also priced beyond my play budget.
The good thing is that sitting (in a chair or a motorcycle) isn't bad....it's the standing & walking that gets me. I'll just have to stay on a bike the whole time.....
We'll be home Saturday evening & will immediately re-pack for Portland.....wish me luck!!!

Best of luck to you Mike and drink a lot of water . It helps with the tight muscles . I've been having to put up with a similar issue for close to twenty years with no pain pills .

I left my house at 415 this morning and pulled in to the hotel at 412pm. Not bad for 731 miles! Going to the fairgrounds in a few minutes. Pete, are you in Portland?

I wish I was in Portland , Rick . Unless some kind of miracle happens , I'm 'stuck' at the campground , here in Baldwin , Mi.

Bill, sorry I missed you. We just couldn't get there any sooner. I've had a lot of fun hanging with Reese & Kartjocky & Rick & Sonrisers. Everyone was really talking about the group photo.
Oh well, We should be able to make it by saturday next year.

Finally home from the convention. Had a good time in spite of the bad back. Got rid of the Express and the Motobecane & wound up bringing home a small jacobson 2 stroke motor as the result of a trade. Kartjocky & his son and Oil lamp & his wife made it to the banquet. I rode the honda passport to the banquet, along with 2 homemade scooters (one of them a safety cycle) 1 Italian scooter, and about 100 Cushmans. Those cushmans with the vanguard v engines can really get up & go.
I've got a doctor appointment tomorrow morning to see if we can get the back under control. I should be able to finally finish the wiring on the Simplex & get it going. I'll have to just leave the brake light switch off for a while, as Wayne didn't have the correct one (any of you who have the brake switch behind the motor, if you need a switch, order it now, as Wayne only has a few left).

Bone cracker or pill pusher ?
I went to a chiropractor for a while . He did way more good than the pill pusher .
Now , I just have my wife 'walk' on my back when it gets too bad . Gave up on the pain pills . I didn't like the 'place' I was in when under their 'control' . A bit too far form clear thought kind of thing .

I went to see a chiro guy for 5 sessions & I felt good for only an hour afterwards each time then I was back to square one. Went to a general doctor this morning & he got me in for some xrays & physical therapy. He also got me some pain pills which were a little milder than the ones the e-room got me last week (didn't care for the side effects).
He really wants to do an MRI, but the insurance won't pay for it unless I do the pain management & therapy first (sounds like a racket doesn't it).
Time will tell I guess.....

Well I can say it now. We made it home no hits runs or errors. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. It was great to meet all of y'all and swap stories. Thanks to everyone.

We made it home last night, and have been recovering all day today. Had a blast and enjoyed meeting some of you guys. Will have pics to follow.

I didn't want to make anyone feel bad they don't have a tent with a indoor pool. I did thirty mins then tried my hand at the highdive. 8)
