I know of a rolling frame serial # 10951 (frame, forks, tank, seat pan, rims, handle bars) can anyone tell me the year and a fair value for this? It is out in Arizona. Thank You!

I am looking for a compression release control for my 1938 direct drive. I am not sure if they used a small lever or was it a twist grip? :-\

Wheels & Tires / Wheel Lacing
« on: December 20, 2013, 06:24:49 PM »
I just received a call from my local bike shop that is lacing my 1938 brake hub to the rim. I purchased the spokes(all the same size) from Wayne. The question is the rim is off-set about 1 inch from center to the right, this is where the sheave will mount as it is direct drive and drives off the right side with the brake hub to the left. Can anyone tell me if this is correct? The bike shop says I would need two different length spokes to center the hub as there is a drastic difference from the left and right side of the brake hub. Thank You !

Does anyone know of where I can get my brake shoes relined? It is for the English hub for a 1938.

Introductions / New Orleans
« on: May 05, 2013, 01:00:15 PM »
I will be traveling to New Orleans in January and was wondering if anyone knows of any Servi Cycle related sites I may want to visit? I have looked on the web but have not come across anything that is still there.I am rebuilding (not all original) a 1938 just sealed the tank and decided to go with a moped rear chain drive hub with a drum brake, probably will use a Harbor Freight motor along with a torque converter.
