I am Mike . A native of Florida , never left my hometown of San Antonio . Yes there are actully a few of us here . LOL I am on the west coast of the state ,about 25 minutes from Tampa . I am still trying to figure what year my Simplex is . Guessing 48-49 . I put it into a couple boxes when I was a teen .Thinking it was around 1970/73 . I am slowly making my way to gathering it back up . I ride a Goldwing as my daily transportation . Yes I should have kept the Mustang but its long gone . Another fun one was the Allstate 125 . Well looking back its always easy to see what we could/should have done differently . HeHe

Ole servi here in North Texas. Bought my first Servi in 1946. Hit a truck
on the way to school one morning and that one was sold for scrap.
Broken leg and head injury. Then bought a Harley 74 a year later and
rode it for several years. Then started outboard racing in 1953, raced
hydros and racing runabouts for 13 years-- then another broken leg{other
one} and more head injury. Found another 46 servi to be restored and
have it going now. I do not need another broken leg tho!
-
But , a head injury would be OK ? ;)
-
p.d. just had enough problems with my head this last fall. 30 radiation treatments for cancer. Two more operations
this year.
-
I'm sorry . I had no idea .
Radiation and operations . I can't imagine .
I really hope you're making progress in the fight .
-

-
Old Servi , From one cancer survivor to another , hang in there you can beet it. I been cancer free for 7 years now, Colon cancer removed 1/2 of my colon and 6 mo. of cemo. Bill Marcum 8)
-
Ditto to what Bill said at least I hope I can say that soon myself. I'm. Going through the big C myself and am looking forward to the day they say your done. I pray that one day they can't remember what they called the big c cause it not around anymore. My next treatment is a month away and then two more surgerys then they might be done. I hope. Old service how far north are ya. I'm between Houston and Austin off 290.
-
Yes the Big C is the most dreaded thing next to death. It seems to be on the rise due to
many things that we eat or do. Mine started with a SCC skin cancer behind my ear. I work daily
in the sun and should have used protection over the years. Untreated went into the Parotid gland
in the neck jaw area and spread into lymp nodes.
Anyone who has had either chemo or radiation knows that it never stops giving to you with its fangs.
However, who can complain when you are given more life with the treatments.
Take care of your body, watch what you eat, drink and stay alert for drunks driving the wrong way on the
freeways.
I live north of Dallas in a rural area.

Looks like I am all alone here in Arizona. Started out back in 34 in South Gate to Norwalk to La Mirada to Apple Valley to Hellendale back to Apple Valley all CA.
Couldn’t get enough of the desert so in 06 we moved to Sun City, Arizona. The best move we ever made. In about 46 I got hooked on anything with two wheels that had a motor. When I first built the US Scooter Museum website I had these two pages in it just to make the site larger. One is some of my biking history the other is a Harley I built. To bad I didn’t take better pictures of it I think it turned out well. I thought that was enough about me and took the two pages off when the site was almost what it is now. I recently split off the US Mini Bike Museum.

Why not? Carter sold them F14's!

Mission Accomplished...uh...maybe not. Off topic.

Would I make a good president? I think I see a few votes here

One should ask them self what the world would be like today if Clinton had taken care of business with Usama Bin Laden when he had the multiple chances.
-
Clinton dropped bombs, Bush let him escape into the mountains. Still looking for the WMDs...and looking...and the oil that would fund the whole endeavor. Those no-bid Halliburton contracts worked out great...and cost taxpayer $2 trillion! We could have paved every street on the USA.
-
Flathead Mike- Have lived in Chino Valley, Az. for the past 30 years. Looking for a bike or project in Az. area, going to try 2 wheels instead of 4.

Clinton bragged on September 10, 2001 that he could have killed Bin Laden but was more worried about collateral damage.
As this really isn't the place for this, I am going to let this die.

President Ford was from Grand Rapids Michigan...my home town!

I met Ford here once. He was a real down to earth guy. But talking to Al Gore was like meeting a wooden cigar store indian.
