The "L" engine is the one with the unique rotary valve.

That is a bastard bike. L engine, earlier frame and handle bars, automatic transmission, narrow wheels, a complete mismatch.

But , it's clean and all pretty looking . ;)

I saw a couple things that aren't exactly factory .

Still , 4250 for a pile of parts that runs ...
