Thanks to my friend Tom Klumpp for the encouragement and his inspiration.

Engine & Transmission / Magnesium Head Fin's Repair with Epoxy?
« on: May 19, 2023, 05:50:01 PM »
Hi There;
 I have a 1948 with Magnesium engine Base and cylinder head, and I've been trying to repair some holes/cracks and broken fin's using Hobart aluminum rod and acetylene/oxygen torch
and so far it really doesn't work.
Unless someone would give me advice on how to properly do it, I am now considering fabricating some new fins out of aluminum and simply gluing those to the head and then machining them
to look like the other ones, and then simply paint the whole engine when all done.
Any's advices or procedures or products would be very appreciated; Best regards

Is the front neck "Made in USA Servi-Cycle"water slide decal is available?
Is this also possible to get the Oil Bath air filter decal as well?
Would it be possible to buy a complete set including the tank set?

I am trying to remove the flywheel on a 1948 and even if I've read all the instructions I could on the subject, I cannot get it off, I've taken the puller provided on the frame, I've tried to hold it atop of the cranking gear shaft with extra long 1/4 x 20 bolts, but all I've done so far was to strip those pullers bolts threads. Is there someone who ever took pictures of that procedure? I will drill and tap to 5/16-24, but I am really worried about breaking something else, does the
 cranking gear should stay there or is it removable for that task?

Introductions / Hi from Canada; New Owner...!!
« on: March 28, 2021, 05:45:48 PM »
Everybody Thanks for this group, I've just purchased my first Servi-Cycle and this is very much Fun, from some precious information that I've found in here, I am now certain that my bike is a 1948 Deluxe model 153 AC 110. The serial number is: 48-1778. It is a Canadian winter barn fresh so I will have to open the engine before trying to start it. So far two things I am trying to find is the upright air filter water slide decal and the part numbers for the straps...?! I am very happy as can be and will post here my progress from time to time. A Big Thank You; Cheers...!!
