the engine looks real clean but i cant say for certain it was rebuilt, its got what appears to be the original carb which is also very clean. i dont know why the engine is using an external coil this is the way i got it. the second spark plug hole is fine, just capped but unscrews. it will come with the exhaust manifold as seen in the pics.  i also have a 150CC with phelon ignition which appears rebuilt and ready to install the barrel and new piston the serial begins with an "h" on that engine. if there is interest, ill sell that one also. id like 1300 for that one.

you can email me  jim062568@yahoo.com

here are some pics of my simplex senior sportsman i purchased off craigslist, it was located in talcum kentucky, i had it shipped to newhall,ca. and now plan on doing some restoration to the bike. i have a continental au10 going into it, it looks to have had some engine brackets welded in to support the briggs five horse, i also plan on reinstalling the torque convertor and finding front brake parts and hooking up the lights.

i also bought another roller located in layfayette la. which i be having shipped soon.
anyone who may have a continental engine they might sell, please pm me. thanks. james

your skills are amazing, looking forward to seeing this engine develop! please post many pics.

a great transmission to use would be the brittish burman gearbox from the mustangs and english bikes. they are really nice little self contained units with kickstart and clutch, 3 and 4 speed boxes. engine is direct drive to trans via sprocket and chain, you would need a different rear rim and hub for the rear chain but very doable.
