Title: Car Show Today
Post by: Mike Sal on May 25, 2013, 06:40:43 PM
Was supposed to be a really nice day, so we took the Simplex and the Victory to a local car show.  As expected no body had ever seen a Simplex before & only a handful knew that Victory was a brand of motorcycle.  We were 2 of only 4 bikes that came.  I put the Simplex between the Victory and a Boss Hogg.....one of the 502 cu.in. ones (big block chevy).  The simplex looked like a toy next to it.

I'm now batting 100%.....every time I ride, I get rained on.....it clouded up & started to rain just as I was leaving the show (Sonya had the Simplex in the back of the truck).  This makes 4 days in a row......

Holy cow.....I'd heard about the flooding on the radio but haven't watched any tv.....are you in a safe area??

Here's a pic of the Vic & Simplex with the Boss Hogg that I forgot to attach yesterday.

Mike, how is the simplex running?  Are you ready to cruise Portland?

Mike ,

Yes . We are along the Pere Marqette River close to Baldwin , Michigan . Thanks for your concern . :)

I feel for the folks down there that have had their lives washed away .

I wonder how Reese is making out . He lives fairly close to that flooding .

I still haven't poured any gas into it Rick.  Sonya is in Florida this week, so I'm hoping to get the wiring finished this week & try it.  I still need to get an exhaust wrap from Wayne as I've only got the tail pipes on temporarily.

Well I'm still high and dry and in drought conditions here.
I've been on vacation all week for my surgery and have chased the rain all the way to North Padre Island back to Temple. But no rain here to speak of.
That bike does look a little small up against the big boys doesn't it, try it with thirty plus around.
I am glad no one got flooded out and everyone is well.
