Do we know this guy?  Seems to be knowledgeable about Simplexes. Are those production numbers accurate?

I have a feeling that could be Pat Williams, the guy that used to run the old Simplex site, but this is just a guess.

As for the production numbers, Gary Wollard stated in his book he did not think there was more than 100 built.  I don't think that is accurate, because if that were the case, about half of them are still around!  I'd bet closer to 200 trucks were built.

BTW, I think that is a good buy at $4000.

I agree with you, I think $4,000 isn't a bad price for it. I wonder what kind of condition his other truck is in as he indicated he would be listing that one for a lesser amount. This one seems to be in pretty good restorable condition.

I noticed on this truck the brake is located on the left hand side, that's different from the truck I purchased from Bill E. Did Simplex make these with both right and left hand brakes? That seems kinda strange.

I noticed that also.  First time I have seen that.  Maybe it was built for a one legged guy?

Well, that didn't last long!  I hope the new owner gets on here and posts some pictures and info.
