Just went servi-cycling!
« on: August 22, 2013, 02:29:59 PM »
Had to make a delivery to my neighbors a few blocks away. So took the servi! After all, that was its intended purpose!  Haven't rode since Portland and it 'feels great'.  Speaking of Portland.  Can't wait to see if we made the magazine.

As I've been trying to fine tune the carb on mine I did a big power slide the other night when I came out of the garage a little too fast.  The drive is sloped & it heads right at a temporary barb wire fence I put up when I built the garage.  I had to hit the brake hard & turn to get turned & the back wheel came on around.  I felt like a flat tracker for a minute!

I'll be ticked if there's no coverage in the magazine....that's all they focus on is that convention....not much else ever gets in.

Their website makes their magazine look like a work of genius!  I am a little surprised at how primitive their website is. I spoke with Darren at Portland about getting a real working forum like this here, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Tom, it does feel nice to take them for a spin. I try to ride each bike at least once a week, even if just for s few minutes.

When does the magazine come out, and how do you get a copy?

The VMBC magazine is quarterly and just being a member gets you a subscription.

Come'on Bruce.  I mowed the leaves up this morning and then ran the rat bike around the neighborhood!

It was 89 degrees in Southern California yesterday and is probably 83 or 84 right now. Unfortunately today is football so I'm in the house. Maybe a little later I'll go for a ride.

Vince, how does the truck run?  Do you ride it at all, or is it just too pretty?
