Where was the compression release valve body located on these early motors, head or crankcase? I'd be interested seeing in either a photo or diagram to illustrate both it's location & design if it's convenient. I've always placed my own 2 stroke releases for high compression race motors (several decades ago) on the crankcase housing, but some like C.R. machine works build theirs in head for  after market heads powering Chinese built 2 stroke bicycle motors.
