I picked up most of mine at an auction this summer in Youngstown.

Looks like an interesting bunch of stuff

Did you buy all that stuff in the photos?

Did you buy all that stuff in the photos?
No, Rick, I didn't. Shame on me. I told my wife I didn't spend $1,000, but I did spend $970. Some of the stuff went for a good price but other things didn't. Someone bought a lot of the frames for about $600 a frame which I thought was a bit high. But I came away with some good deals.

Frames are usually available in the $250-300 range. There is no way I would pay anywhere near $600 for one. That auction allowed online bidding on the 3 complete bikes they sold, but none of the parts. If it wasn’t a 10 hour drive back to Ohio after just getting home the weekend before for Portland, I would have went.
Did you know any of the other buyers? Was Jim Or Ernie there?
-
No, I did not recognize any of the other buyers. Jim was not there, and I don't believe I've ever met Ernie. The guy that bought most of the frames was a local, I believe, just because of the truck that he picked them up with. As you probably already know, the restored 1940's went for $1,700. The 1957 all original went for $3,600. I picked up a complete non-running motor for $190. I'm sure if you would have been there you would have taken home some treasures.
