Title: Rear brake used on front.
Post by: tprice on May 14, 2021, 09:04:57 PM
I've tried to read through all post concerning. I have a later model wide rear brake drum wheel im using on rear. I also have a skinny rear brake drum wheel that I did not narrow I'm using on front. By looking at pictures I think I saw some bikes with drum on front mounted on right side and another picture drum is on left. To successfully mount nonnarrowed drum wheel i removed stepped rocks arm bolt and used brass bushings using 3/8 bolts and installed from inside of forks  . I'm tinkering with anchoringg options now. One is extended bolt on main leg bolt i made.  Other option is a stiff leg mounted to main leg of Springer. I also picked up a workman steel rim with aluminum brake with cable and grip today.  I can always use that. I know this is long but did my best to explain. Bottom line you do not have to narrow hub to use. I have pictures of what I've done but don't know how to post. Old guy!
