You mean an early wico magneto?  and is it for sale?

I think he means an Eisemann.

Are you making any headway on these parts?
I find myself in need of 770. I don’t know what it is or what it does. Thought I could make one if I had some dimensions.
I noticed Wayne Mahaffey has 763.
I have 762. It’s fairly involved piece, so I don’t know how to communicate about it. Perhaps if you asked questions perhaps I could answer them.

Part 770 is unnecessary. I have assembled many of these without it, never a problem. Wayne has all the parts for this style of throttle, and his rotating tube is made out of a thicker than stock material, and works excellent.

Simplex never used a rope pull start.  Those parts probably come from an outboard motor, as Wico supplied a lot of the magnetos for various outboard manufacturers.

Until the 1947 model year, all Simplex’s were push start.  Kick start was added for the 1947 model year, and Simplex made kits to retro fit 1945-46 bikes with a kick start.

Welcome, nice looking Simplex.  I’m a stock kind of guy, but if you are going to put a Predator motor on it, Wayne’s kit makes it a bolt in.
I’ve have never put a lighting coil in a Predator, but google Predator 212 lighting coil. Lots of info out there, looks easy to me.

Did you ever get around to posting photos with the kickstarter attached to your bike’s motor? I’d love to see how much t looks and in action

Here is a picture of Wayne’s kickstarter modified to fit a Honda GS190 motor.

The cylinder on a 1948 is cast iron. Post a picture of what you have.

Scooter, I’m not sure that is 100% correct. They built shifter bikes in 1953, along side the automatics. These bikes had model M engines.  They were designated Model M. They had either the 1952 tank decal or the SIMPLEX 125 decal.

You have to lay the bike over all the way in its side. You will never get it all out without removing the tank.

I run my bikes at 40:1, usually using Echo oil.

What Year is my Bike? / Re: What year bike

Frame number is under the neck, motor number is on left side of motor below the compression plate. Need those to figure out the year.

and that is why I always encouraged everyone to use the website picture posting, as they should last as long as I keep paying for the website!
