A few scenes from Hartville. Whizzer mania! Bought a frame with a seat pan, dash plate and choke knob still on it so that was good. Rode Lokai's '43. Ran great and a lot of fun. Went on a ride and got Ice cream.
1957 Chevrolet model 210 wagon. Showroom new! Stunning.
Home of the Good Year blimp is here. And lo and behold it flew over!
Bike is a military issue Simplex. Has unique breather and tailpipe baffle.

Pete . :)
You need to get out more!
Herb Weeks has one just like it on his 1942.
Pete, are you coming to Portland for 2020?
-
Gonna be a grand ol' time on Simplex hill next year. Hoping to all be together there.
-
Thanks for the pictures, Tom. I live 2 miles from where the Swap Meet was - I actually work for Hartville Enterprises who owns the complex there. I went on the ride for ice cream on Friday, in the morning they took a ride to the blimp hanger - didn't make that one. I wish I would have known you were going to be there...I would have caught up with you. Let me know if you come next year.
By the way, Jim's bike broke down on the way to get ice cream.
Hopefully I'll see you in Portland next year!

You're right , Rick .
I do need to get out more .
And , yes , I plan on making Portland next Summer . Things got a bit hectic this Summer with repairs and family/friends we hadn't seen in years .
We plan on coming back to Michigan next Spring/Summer for the season .
It's only about a 300 mile trip from camp to Portland . ;)
Pete . :)

Cotton, what were you riding? I was there!
-
I was riding the 55 Simplex on Friday when we went to get ice cream. Were you on that ride? What were you riding?
-
I saw you. I guess we didn't recognize each other!
-
I was on Jims yellow moped.
-
My black 48 and green custom was right beside where jim was at.
-
I'm really disappointed that I didn't recognize you. Right across from you was Bill with the stainless spokes. Wayne Mahaffey gets some of his spokes from Bill. Most of the guys around here are Whizzer people. They say that the 2-cycles have to park in the grass while they park in the parking lot. :) We went on a 25 mile ride today and I was the only Simplex.

I , personally , don't have to plan many days to stay busy , Rick .
I seem to have a good share of my time planned out by my ever loving wife . Surprisingly , our sense of schedule doesn't always seem to be the same .
And , a word of advice : Tell no one what you're capable of doing . But , that's likely already way out of the bag . LOL
It takes about 3 seconds for folks to come up with things they 'need help' with . ;)
Anyway , you'll find there's a lot more to do than when you had a job to go to .
You're gonna love it .
Pete . :)
