Title: Brake light for predator setup
Post by: socalsimplex on November 03, 2014, 10:39:43 PM
I'm going with Wayne's kit for a predator set up. Planning on using a battery tender with headlight/taillight hooked up. Running a repo Ford Model A taillight. It has two separate lights, one for running light and one as a brake light. Question is, what do I use as an activator for the brake light?

With a setup like that you could weld a mount on in a hidden location and it wouldn't be seen.

Tonight I went looking for a spring and look into a box that came with my bike and low and behold I've got one of those switches. Cool that means I dont need to buy one. Happy days.  ;D

Reese, you really need to look through those boxes. There are all kinds of gems in there. ...

Oh I have been looking at what is in the boxes I just didn't know what this was until I saw the picture and saw it again. I've got way too much going on for remembering.
I have been practicing with my tig and about to attempt to do my cover.

make sure you have a couple big cups of coffee just before you get to TIG welding. it really helps that steady hand while welding...good luck

You can go the other route then.  Couple big shots of Jack Daniels and get a nice wide weave bead.  Post pics of progress.  I'm interested in seeing how the welds look afterward, and what kind of distortion you get. If any?
