I see that Coker does not give these tires a speed rating. Are the sidewalls truely stronger than a regular bike tire?
-
Much better than a bike tire, the sidewalls are heavy. I have Simplex tires on my 53, and don't think twice about them. I put some bicycle tires on my 3 wheel truck replica to get it rolling, and when I get it up to speed, the first thing I think about is a tire coming apart!
Wayne has them.

Did you buy the tubes from Coker as well? I am sure those are stronger.
-
I like the motorcycle tubes with the screw-on valve stems. They are heavy duty, and I think Wayne has those for $10.

Ok cool. I should be giving him a call as soon as I get this rear rim figured out.
Thanks,

What size tubes should I buy? I see some that are 2.75-3.00 x 21".

That is what Wayne supplies. I looked around to see if I could get some local, but they were more expensive than Wayne, and they would have to order them. So, I just added them to my Wayne order! Since I seem to keep accumulating simplex projects, I just keep a couple of extras in stock at home.

Ok cool. I will most likely get my tires at Summit. They have free shipping so I can bundle some other things with them.
