Great article. Bob just moved to a condo. Still recovering. Still has the same cell phone. I hope the new Editor/layout work out. I get the impression the new Editor is a Honda guy with little knowledge of motorscooters or motorbikes. I haven't heard the 175cc or less displacement criteria before.

The Wheels & Tracks article shows a 6" headlight , likely a KD869. I would have thought they would use a blackout light.

1946 Price list includes quart cans of Servi-Cycle oil. 1950 Price List shows 8 oz. cans of Servi-Cycle oil. 1953 Price List shows 8 oz. cans of Simplex oil. 1936 Owners manual states quart cans of Valvoline Servi-Cycle oil can be purchased from Servi-Cycle dealer or the Valvoline distributor. 1936 oil is put up in sealed quart cans, has a Servi-Cycle label on the can, and is made in two weights - the one is marked "For Summer Use", the other is marked "For Winter Use". In the event you cannot secure this oil locally, use a first class Pennsylvania oil with an SAE rating of 70 for summer use, and an SAE rating of 60 for winter use. Your can might be from 1938-1948?

The early Servi Cycles used an English Miller lighting set. The Model G Manual shows the Miller headlight and generator, but the Special Instructions state the Tail light is a super safety design that permits bulb replacement without tools, and carries a spare bulb. This may not be a Miller item. There is a very nice Miller Headlight and generator on ebay right now. It's in Australia, and the starting bid is over one hundred dollars. Appears NOS.

Other Things Simplex / Polished aluminum tank side trim

I have seen 3 sets of the polished aluminum tank sides with the Servi Cycle decal on a field of light blue. A bike with one of these sets wa at Portland a few years ago. Does anyone have an accessory list or other info on these and when they were offered? My impression is that they were an option about 1948.
