Hello, all. Dave from PA here, not a Simplex owner yet but have admired them from afar for a while now. I am now looking for one and this looks like the place for information.
Thanks.

Welcome Dave! Eastern or Western Pennsylvania?

Hi Dave,
Welcome to the site, and you are right; these guys are full of knowledge and know how.
Be careful though; Simplex fever can set in at any time.
Just 6 months ago I had ZERO Simplex and now I own Two.
They seem to be migrating to this area.
Member "Oil Lamp" lives a stones throw from me and has a total of four.
Hope to hear you're riding one of you own soon.
Cheers

I'm with Stafford...bought my first Simplex in December, by April it was totally restored! now I just made a deal to buy a Simplex quarter ton truck! I'm hooked!!

Relic,
The only thing I have found close to a cure is the acquisition of other Simplex.
So..............Take 2 Simplex and go to work on them.
Cheers

Thanks for the welcome. I am in Western Pa, about 50 miles north of Pittsburgh. While I am new to the Simplex world, I am familiar with parts and project accumulation. I have a 40x48 two story garage stuffed full of mostly teens thru forties Ford parts and cars, plus a handful of Schwinn and Shelby bicycles, a couple Honda minibikes, a Harley WL project and a bunch of other junk.
Just in the last few days I've found 2 project Simplex bikes, another complete Automatic, and a lead on a roller, all fairly close by. I'm going to try to just do one Simplex, but you know how that goes...

Come to the VMBC Meet in Portland, Indiana in July. It is the biggest meet of its kind and is not that far from you!

Thanks, Rick, I will look into it.

Are you near Warren PA? I know a few motorized bicycle guys there.
