My name is Brian and I am the owner of a Hot Rod Shop. I recently became a first time owner of a Servi-Cycle. Now I am hooked.

I wanted to introduce myself and add a couple of pics of my latest finds. Also...now that I am hooked on these Servi-Cycles....I will be doing some trick things on a couple as well as fabricating some things for these cycles to possibly sell. At our Hot Rod Shop...we do it all.  From design...to fabrication and machining....to building complete cars...and body and paint. I hope in the near future...I can add restoring some of these Servi-Cycles-----for me and for others out there------to my list.  I'd definitely open the doors to Servi-Cycle customers. Thanks for taking the time to read and glad to be part of this group.


I will add a couple pics of our work out of the shop also for you to reference.  First pic below is my find in Portland.

Now I will be adding Servi-Cycles to my list.  For me and hopefully for other customers.....I'd love to start having some of these projects in my shop!

Hi Brian, welcome!  Did you get the bike with the motorcycle engine running? It looked like it could be a runner with a little work.  Did you notice they spread the frame at the front to fit the engine?  Can you give us any more info on it, such as what wheels and tires?

Welcome to the group.  Do your bikes have serial numbers on the frames? (under the head tube neck, just ahead of the crashbars)?

You are in the right part of the country to be tinkering with those indy car designs for sure.  I live about 4 hours southwest of you in southern Illinois.  I'll have to plan a trip to see you sometime.

Howdy from Texas again. I also got a chance to say Hi while in Portland. Are you going to stay with the current motor or change to a non reverse motor?

Wow, that's an early bike.  Will be interesting to learn the motor number.  This bike should be restored and not rodded.

This bike is going to be cleaned up...there is plenty of paint left and I want to get her back running again and she will be left totally original.  The motor number is G 1040.

Can you post a picture of the clutch lever?  It looks like the heel operated model, which was the earliest G model.  I don't believe I have ever seen one of those!

Also, does it have a tail light, or is it missing?

I think that is very rare.  They only used that style for about 6 months until it was replaced by a rocker clutch.  It had reliability issues. Great find!

Get this, Bill Erikson has bike w/ motor number 1038.....how bizarr is this (the bike is the one he got from Wollard)?

Bill's bike is a 1937, and the numbers on those engines start with "1937" if I am not mistaken.  Unless Bill got a 1940 also?
