Title: Hello From Florida
Post by: tarawa on February 26, 2014, 04:25:11 AM
Hi guys,
I have been interested in the Servicycles ever since seeing a couple of parts bikes at a Florida antique tractor swap meet.  I haven't found one of my own yet though.  I am retiring soon so a Simplex may be just the thing for me.  All I have now is an old motorized bicycle and a 60's vintage Tote Gote Nova.  I have a complete machine shop so restoring one shouldn't be a problem.  If anyone knows of a basket case in or around South Florida, let me know.

Welcome, where in florida are you from.  There was a big hit and miss engine/ tractor show down there last week.  Did you get to it?

There are probably a lot of simplexes near the tampa/st pete area, as that is where Gary Wollard was from.  After he passed away a couple of years ago, much of his stuff was bought at auction by some locals.

Hi Rick
I live in Loxahatchee which is about midway between the ocean (Palm Beach) and Lake Okeechobee. In the sticks.  I went to the January show, but a wet weather forcastkept me home. The rain never came, but I have sloshed around the show before in ankle deep mud.
I should have went anyway because Febuary has the biggest and best show.
Regards
tarawa

Hi Mike,
I have one of those Chinese conversions, but I also have a ToteGote Nova. Around a 1969 I think.
