Hey yall hadnt been on here in a while but I was wondering what yall know about a late model 150cc with flat fenders, bulkier springer and 24" wheels?
-
Doesn't sound familiar , Red .
Can you post a pic ?
Pete . :)
-
Sounds like a late model sportsman with a wheel change. Like Pete says, we need a couple of pictures.
-

Simplex didn't offer a 24" wheel, as far as I know. Did you measure the rim? What size is written on the tire?
-
We are waiting for those pictures!
-
Wheels are same, just measured wrong first time but fenders are diff. and front end is bigger/wider
-
And I cant remember out how to put pics on here,it keeps telling me file is too large

Resize the picture smaller! The reason I limit picture size is to save space on the server.

If you have the wide flat fenders, you have a 1959-1960 Sportsman. If so, the wheels are NOT the same as the rest of the Servi-Cycles. They take a 27 x 3 tire, which is not available.

Has big hub thru rear wheel instead of brake on one side and small hub on other. Also has crash bars

I do it on my computer. You can not resize on the website itself.

Red ,
You acn always use a host site like : https://postimage.io/
It's pretty simple . You can have your pics resized to 640x480 ( good for any site and big enough to see detail ) .
And , it's FREE .
Then just paste the pic links here .
Pete . :)

I would really prefer you not do this. The reason, as PD should well know, is when the hosting company changes their rules/protocol, the pictures get lost. When you post them directly on this site, they will be here as long as the site is here.
Remember PhotoBucket Pete?
-
I remember . PB has seemingly returned to , at least , some of the old ways . Here's a pic from my free account that is hosted there :

I was just offering another option .
But , I agree , this site hosting is the best route .
Pete . :)

Red, Easy to resize Go to where your pictures exist on your computer. Right click on thumbnail you wish to resize. A list of options will open for you. Click EDIT. From there a window will open showing the photo. Then click the pixel dot. Then you can choose pixels size. I do 640 on the horizontal and it will adjust the vertical for you. This sizing works pretty well. Hurry. We need pictures. We're men!

Good job Red! That is a late model Sportsman. Do you have the front wheel and engine? What is the frame number?
-
I have pretty much everything but seat and cylinder. It was a 150cc engine,I have a regular simplex front wheel for it(no brake)

Looks like an automatic to me, which wasn’t available until the 1953 model year. Post some more pictures of the clutch so I can see if it is a single or double track.
What is the frame and engine numbers. The frame number is under the neck.
