J hook gas tank holder

I have a 1945 Simplex and the gas tank bolts to the front of the frame and in the rear there is a loop . I understand this takes a "J" shaped hooked bolt. Anyone know where to get one or I can make it if you have a pic.  Thanks

I CUT MINE OFF MY TANK AND MOUNTED IT LIKE THE LATER STYLE.  WAYNE M. HAS THE CHANNEL MOUNT FOR SALE.  CHEEP  $20-30?

Maybe one of our members with an older model can fix you up with a description or photo.  I can't believe it would be hard to re-recreate.

I have the newer channel mount but I would really like to use the old. If I see a picture I can make one. Thanks
