Pete, we are having a great time!  I got to the fairgrounds at 830 this morning and just got back to the hotel.  I haven't even had dinner yet.

Good . I'm glad everything is going well .

I thought about Portland all darn weekend , even though it was a busy few days . :(

You were likely having such a good time you forgot to take pics .

I've seen a few in recent posts . Looks like there was pretty decent Simplex showing . Makes me even more sorry I couldn't be there .

It was probably the biggest Simplex gathering they have ever had!  All the old timers said they don't remember ever seeing so many together.  I was told,  that 20 years ago, you almost never saw a running Simplex. 

I think there were around 60-70 Simplex's on the grounds.  Jim Lokai didn't even take about 10 of them off the multiple railers he had there!

Yea Pd we wished you would of made it. There was too much to do and see than any one person could handle. I dont know if you Facebook or not but the VMBC does have a page. Its Vintage Motor Bike club and theres lots of pictures on the site. I think they think its going to work better than there site.    :o

That's amazing . Almost sounds like the 'comeback' of Simplex . ;)

How many did you think might show up this Summer , Rick ?

Reese , They probably will have as good of luck with Facebook as with their site . Facebook is simply huge and most every woman and child has a page there . It would be easy for a guy to ask his wife / girlfriend to see if anything vintage bike related turned up in a search .

Hoarders! Your saying we're hoarders. Shoot we only hoard what you wont buy. Dang there must of been at least 12 Simplex bikes for sale if not more. Heres 6 of them most were a no show for Sundays picture.  :-\

 I think that by "Hoarders' they mean "that guy that has all the things they want".
Come by when you get a chance. Might call first because I'm in and out a lot but would really like to get together.

Stafford,  I will try again in the next few days but the hill on my side is a b#@*h too get up. I need to check the belts cause the final drive jump track when my son was riding it. Sence I've been home I have been very busy and going everywhere but not getting anything completed. I still have to get my hay cut soon but I will try the contact before the ride next time.   8)
